A Message from the Dean

The construction industry plays a vital role in the economic growth and
physical development of Vietnam. It influences the function character and
vitality of the nation of communities while shaping the urban landscape and the
built environment.
The Faculty of Civil Engineering, HCMC University of Technology, in line
with the University of role of providing education and research facilities, is
concerned with training professional for this important sector of the economy
and conducting research beneficial to the sector. Our Faculty adopts a slogan
of "A Tradition of Excellence", and therefore training quality has
always been our first concern.
I truly hope this website will have to provide useful information to you who
are interested in getting to know more and better about our faculty.

Through auspices of the Visiting Scholar Program of Vietnam Education Foundation (VEF), Assoc. Prof. Hien Luong Thi Nguyen, Ph. D., had been working as a Visiting Professor at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), College of Engineering and Computer Science, Department of Mechanical Engineering from September 2007 to June 2008.
